Bereits seit 2007 ist der Künstler Philip Wallisfurth alias Senor Schnu in Deutschland und der Welt unterwegs.
Seine Arbeiten umfassen ein breites Spektrum von klassischen
Paste-Ups über Moos-Graffitis, Skulpturen und Malereien auf Leinwand, im Stil zwischen Comic und Abstrakt, gerne mit popkulturel­len Anleihen. liegen seine Wurzeln in der Straßenkunst, so ist Wallis­furths Medium vor allem die Sprühdose. Seinen Stil kennzeichnet aber auch seine Flexibilität in punkto Materialwahl und künstlerische Aus­drucksweise: Er experimentiert zum Beispiel seit einiger Zeit schon mit eindrucksvollen, anamorphen Rauminstallationen.
Er selbst definiert seinen Stil als einen ambivalenten Mix aus „dirty“ Graffiti- bzw. Street Art- Techniken und „cleanen“ grafischen Ele­menten, wie man sie in der zeitgenössischen Kunst findet. Eine andere Besonderheit ist auch sein Umgang mit Farben, die von starken Kon­trasten und positiver Energie leben und beim Betrachter ein Gefühl von „Instant- Happiness“ auslösen. Generell ist es ihm wichtig, dass der Betrachter ein Teil des Kunstwerks wird und mit ihm interagieren kann, wie beispielsweise bei einer anamorphen Rauminstallation, die betreten werden kann oder durch die Identifikation mit Characters wie dem fröhlich lachenden Eis namens Senor Schnu.
Der Künstler organisiert und kuratiert nebenbei in und außerhalb der Szene bekannte Projekte wie zum Beispiel „Wandelism“, ,,Hometown Berlin“ oder das Paste-Up-Festival Germany von der Idee bis zur Umsetzung.
Philip Wallisfurth steht nie still und ist immer auf der Suche nach dem nächsten spannenden Projekt. So war er beispielsweise im Herbst 2019 mit einer anamorphen Rauminstallation Teil der Ausstellung „Ride the Dragon“ in Shanghai, die vom Skateboard- Museum organisiert und kuratiert wurde. Außerdem gestaltete er die Fassade des Urban Nation Museums für Urban Contemporary Art in Berlin.
Er kann außerdem Porsche, Jack Daniels, Google und Vans zu seinen Kunden zählen, um nur einige zu nennen.

The artist Philip Wallisfurth alias Senor Schnu has been traveling
in Germany and around the world since 2007.
His works cover a wide spectrum from classic paste-ups to moss graffiti, sculptures and paintings on canvas, in the style between comic and abstract, often with pop culture borrowings. lf its roots are in street art, Wallisfurth’s medium is above all the spray can. His style is also characterized by his flexibility in terms of choice of materials and artistic expression: for example, he has been experimenting with impressive, anamorphic room installations for some time.
He himself defines his style as an ambivalent mix of „dirty“ graffiti or street art techniques and „clean“ graphic elements as found in contem­porary art. Another special Feature is his use of colors, which thrive on strong contrasts and positive energy and trigger a feeling of „instant happiness“ in the viewer. In general, it is important to him that the viewer becomes part of the artwork and can interact with it, for example in an anamorphic room installation that can be entered or through identification with characters such as the happily laughing ice cream called Senor Schnu.
The artist also organizes and curates well-known projects in and outside the scene such as „Wandelism“, „Hometown Berlin“ or the Paste-Up Festival Germany from the idea to implementation.
Philip Wallisfurth never stands still and is always looking for the next exciting project. For example, in autumn 2019 he was part of the „Ride the Dragon“ exhibition in Shanghai with an anamorphic room installa­tion that was organized and curated by the Skateboard Museum. He also designed the facade of the Urban Nation Museum for Urban Con­temporary Art in Berlin.
